How much does floor sanding cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the space, the condition of the floor, and the type of finish you choose. We offer free quotes across Cardiff, South Wales and the rest of the UK.

As a rough guide, we approximately charge £25-£30 a square meter. This covers everything from sanding, repairs and three coats of a premium water-based lacquer or hard wax oil.

Will there be lots of dust?

Not with us. We use professional dust-free floor sanding machines to keep the mess to a minimum and your home clean throughout the job.

How long does the process last?

We will give you a clear timeframe before we start. A standard-sized bedroom would usually take a day to sand and apply the first coat of protection. Then we will return the following day to apply additional coats.

We are also very flexible and can always work to a schedule that suits you.

Can you repair damaged floorboards and parquet?

Yes. We offer wood floor repairs, including replacing damaged boards and fixing loose or missing parquet. We’ll match the repair as closely as possible to your existing floor.

Will I need to move my furniture?

Ideally, yes. The room needs to be clear for us to work. If you need help moving furniture, let us know in advance, and we may be able to assist.

Can I stay in my house whilst the floors are being sanded?

Yes, people usually do. We work as neatly and quietly as possible and can advise which areas to avoid while we work.

What kind of finish will you put on my floors?

We use high-quality, water-based lacquers and primers that are durable, low-odour, and give a beautiful natural finish.

If you have a stain or product that you would like to use, then we can apply whatever finish you’d prefer.

Do you work outside of Cardiff

Yes. We cover all over South Wales and beyond. We have sanded floors all over the UK and will even go further afield. Does your villa in Portugal need a sanding? Say no more.

My floors look really bad. Can they still be restored?

Usually, yes! Even floors that look beyond saving can often be brought back to life with the right care and tools. We offer free assessments and honest, friendly advice.

Wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to just rent my own equipment?

You may be able to rent a floor sanding machine for cheaper, but we can assure you it won’t be easier.

We use the best floor sanding equipment on the market. The German-manufactured brand Laegler has been the front runner for floor sanding machinery for 100 years.

We come up equipped with large Laegler Hummel belt sander, a Laegler Trio Multi Disc sanding machine and a Lagler Flip edging machine, along with a selection of other sanding tools.

We also provide all abrasives and coating products.
